Original description: [Stevens and Helby, 1987]:

Synopsis:
Cysts skolochorate, body subspherical with 7 solid intratabular processes and a single, hollow, funnel-shaped, intratabular antapical process, all inclined posteriorly where they join a basket-shaped, trabecular ectophragm; archeopyle apical, type (tA).

Description:
Shape: Cyst egg-shaped. Autophragm subspherical; ectophragm basket-shaped.
Wall relationships: Autophragm forming body and processes; ectophragm disposed posteriorly, regularly trabeculate, probably reflecting tabulation and supported by 8 processes.
Wall features: No parasutural features apart from accessory archeopyle parasutures. Six solid processes project radially from intratabular epicystal locations, a sinuous process arising subequatorially and a hollow, distally flared process originating from the antapex. All processes connected posteriorly with the ectophragm. Autophragm smooth, ectophragm smooth to perforate. Paratabulation indicated by intratabular processes and archeopyle.
Archeopyle: Apical, type (tA)- operculum free.
Paracingulum: May be expressed as regular, subconcentric trabecular feature on ectophragm.
Parasulcus: Located anteriorly by sulcal notch on the autophragm.
Size: Intermediate to large.
