Dinoflagellate cysts from the Oxfordian (Upper Jurassic) of Skye, Scotland and Southern Dorset, England

Stancliffe, R.P.W., 1991: Dinoflagellate cysts from the Oxfordian (Upper Jurassic) of Skye, Scotland and Southern Dorset, England. Journal of Micropalaeontology, Vol.10/2, pp.185-201. Ten sediments samples from Upper Oxfordian strata of Skye and six from the uppermost Lower Oxfordian of southern Dorset were processed for palynomorphs. Of the dinoflagellate cysts recognized, the genus Furzidinium and species F. sentum, Cleistosphaeridium sarmentum and Prolixosphaeridium floccum are described for the first time. The new combination Polygonium bavrcia is proposed and Cleistosphaeridium ehrenbergii is retained.
