Geobios, M.S. 17: 409-414 Abstract: The uppermost Triassic to the lowermost Cretaceous dinoflagellate cyst zonations established mainly for the British Isles are unified for the Danish Subbasin, and a few emendations are presented. The dinoflagellate cyst zonal system is correlated with other biozonations; i.e. miospores and ostracod zonations and where possible with macrofossil findings. The Toarcian to lowermost Aalenian dinoflagellate cyst flora is correlated with those described from Spitsbergen, England, and Germany. Furthermore the Upper Jurassic section is correlated to palynological investigations of ammonite dated material from Poland. With the exception of the Middle Jurassic sequence which is generally barren of dinoflagellate cysts, the zonation for the Jurassic of the Danish Subbasin is believed to be isochronous with the zonation for the British Isles. The Luehndea spinosa Zone is divided into two new subzones, Subzones a and b, and two new subzones, the Mancodillium semitabulatum Subzone and the Parvocysta nasuta Subzone are proposed for the Early Toarcian to Early Aalenian strata of the Danish Subbasin as the English subzones within the M. semitabulatum Zone cannot be identified in Denmark.
